It doesn't matter what you think. It's a spark plug cover and you're wrong.

After reading this thread, i went back and put my factory resonator back on. I took off my weapon-r pipe and kept the dragon filter with the am adaptor. I went on my "test track" and noticed it pulled through out the power ban. I think i'll keep this set up for right now. nice mod for me to do until my y-pipe comes in. ..... could have saved a lot of money if i just brought the adaptor and a filter.

I've been thinkin about painting my valve cover, just haven't gotten around to it.
Man this is a retarded argument. I don't see what is gained by trying to belittle automagic on a subject irrelevant to the thread.

Did the same thing...took off my Frankencar mid-pipe and left the K&N cone filter. Gonna do it to my 3rd gen next!

It won't happen in your life time. Maybe some of you should paint your valve cover too. The extra color and the fumes may chill you guys out.

How many valve covers do you have? Are they both plastic?

One valve cover. That I painted. And two pieces that go on top of the valves.

The painted valve cover is plastic. I never went near the things that cover the valves, so I could not tell you what material it's made of.

It wasn't necessarily for speed. I just wanted some responsiveness back. And I got that by switching back to stock. Making a after market intake to a auto was just a bad idea in my case. Money situation is alright. But I rather spend it in most cases to keep my lights on and such. So I mod when i can like most people on here.

Thanks for that post cause I have the same intake as you, once I get the stock components again I'll be in business. Does anyone know why the stock resonator brings back the low end loss?

Anyhow, what he was referring to ... you actually answered your own question... when you asked about the resonator or "stock midpipe" same thing ... and itis a resonator.

In most posts on the subject it is referred to as the stock midpipe, just trying to make this thread more understandable to everyone. DAMN
