Y-pipe (Flex section)

I just recently bought a used Cattman Y-pipe and the flex section needs to replaced. Where can i get one.

i would talk to cattman first. their flex sections are suppossed to be the best of pretty much all of the y-pipe manufacturers.

would wrapping the flex section up w/ exhaust wrap reduce noise?

Yes, but that will only be temporary. Any exhaust shop can weld on a new flex-section for $60-$70 (flex+labor)

warpspeed said something about being able to replace any of those flex sections if need be.

they can be contacted by phone... ii dont think they have email anymore even tho they have it on the website.

I heard if you wrap the exhuast that it could create rust and then...well you know the story...

It does, but we are talking about wrapping a worn, leaking and tired out flex section and using exhaust wrap as a temporary fix until you can get to the exhaust shop

Kinda off topic but i'm trying to take off my stock Y-pipe. Theres a **** load of rust on the nuts connecting to the cat. Any one have any ideas before i go to a mechanic? I tried penetrant and a bit of torching.

Drill them out and replace both studs and bolt.
