From the Cat-back Rusted open...(Pics)

So I need a new catback system. I can't beleive how poor the quality is of the OEM Exhaust. My 00 Si's stock exhaust is still mint.

Anyways. I Dont want OEM again, cause it will just rust open again. What are my options for a quiet aftermarket Catback.?

Thanks.

Regardless, why is the exhaust of an econo car honda civic of the same age still prestine??

Thanks for that link. I was unaware of it.

The Stock B pipe is in similar condition.

Thats just them muffler shell... it will still last a long time before you actually get a real hole in the muffler. In my case, my muffler looked like that for almost 3 years. Eventually I got a hole in the b-pipe, but the muffler was still intact (rusty for sure).

I know it looks like its about to dintegrate, but in this, looks are deceiving.

What did you replace the Stock B-Pipe with, Thats the situation I'm in, the B-pipe is blown open and loud as hell.

I got a cheap one at the local Midas since my car was louder than the local "modded" civics... but I paid too much... I have a lightly used OEM b-pipe sitting in my garage - I'll be ripping the midas aluminized one out and putting in the OEM one when I get off my lazy a**

For the price that midas charged me, I could have just gotten a b-pipe from one of the many aftermarket vendors that are popular on the org.

I suggest you call around your local muffler shops and see you gives you the best price.
