Was perusing the latest Stillen Catalog and came across an itme that caught my eye:

"HKS Twin Power Ignition Amplifier"
Says it's a combo CDI and Transistor Ignition to enhance combusiotn for more HP at high RPM's and better throttle response at low RPM's.

Anyone have or heard anyhting about these? It's the first ignition upgrade i've even seen for the max.

 

what's the price and for what year maxima's?

 

No prices in the catalog, no application list either! I'll call them tomorrow if I get a chance.

 

Thats not for the VQ engines. We don't have an ignition amplifier, the signals to the coils packs come directly from the ECU.

 

Well doesn't that just suck.

 

And it's not new, been around for years.

 

not really, from wat ive read and heard, our stock ignition system is very good stock. when i look at the liist of mods of people with turbos and such and who have high HP, most of the time their ignition upgrades only consist of sparkplugs or mayvbe new coil packs to replace faulty ones. mods like that one i guess are for cars trying to compensate for a weaker ignition system. look at all the people running low 14's and 13's, if they dont need em, then thats good enough for me
