$1164 later...

FINALLY got myself a set of rims and tires from discount tire direct! (got approved for their carcareone credit card which gives you finance options and such). I picked up some 18in Konig Tuner IIs with BFGoodrich G-force Sports (235/40/18s). The rims are a little on the heavy side, I believe around 21 or 22 pounds each, but I think they're gonna look really hot and hey if the weight bogs me down that much then that's all the more reason to do a 3.5 swap! Pics will be posted once the UPS guy drops them off, just thought I'd share the excitement

My bad, here's a pic of another orger's max (forget who, sorry). This gave me an idea of how they'd look on my car since I have a white max as well, though mine has a long ways to go in terms of body styling

Post pics when you get them installed.

PS: I hope that card has 0% on purchases for a certain amount of time, if not - those $1164 could easily cost you $1300 and up if you dont pay it off quickly!

The faster you pay the less goes towards your credit score I learned though. When I got my new 97 I was looking at paying it off within a year but it will not help my credit score if I were to pay it off that quickly and since I do not like being in debt and do not want to mess with credit cards and the like I will make regular payments on it to help my score.

I'm excited to see what they look like on your Max...I assume a drop is coming soon? Are you gonna use your old rims in the winter?

Yeah guys they have a special offer going on now until late september where any purchase of $1200 or less you pay a fixed monthly fee of $60 a month for 12 months with no interest. You have to apply and be approved for their carcareone credit card and upon approval you're able to use it to purchase the wheels and tires of your choice and use the special offer. I'll easily be able to pay double or triple the minimum $60 a month payment so I'll have them paid off in no time. My tires are bald as hell right now so I had to pull the trigger. And yes I'll be using my stock 16s for the winter months A drop will be coming hopefully in 1-2 months (illuminas and s-techs)

Damn the rims are back-ordered 4-6 weeks. I just contacted discount tire asking them if I pay a little extra if I can get some sort of expidited service directly from Konig so I don't have to wait quite that long. If not I'm still going to give them a 10% deposit to hold the order and I'll just get them whenever they get them in stock. Hey at least it gives me time to aquire the funds since my card won't be charged the full $1164 until they ship out!

Hope you can get them soon! That financing is tempting though I'm not really in a position where I should get another credit card! What's their website?

Here's the link to their promotion page, and you can of course get to their homepage by clicking home at the top

Ahh man this is so tempting. I've seen this a couple of time and actually started filling out the app once but changed my mind before I finished.

nah i dont think so. they like it when u pay it off right away. im never in debt and never pay interest rates. i only spend enough to pay it off at the end of the month and they love it. whenever i call and ask for a credit raise, they give me whatever i want with no questions asked. other friends always pay in payments and when they ask for increase, they dont get that much.

It's actually I love hate thing. They love it and you'll love it if you pay things off right away because it shows you're responsible so that makes them willing to raise your credit limit since they can safely lend you more money. However at the same time they don't love it because credit card companies dont make money off of people who pay their cards off in full. The finance charges are where they make their money so it goes both ways.

4GEN - Not sure what other specials they have goin on right now but if you're interested I suggest you check out the website and see if they have anything that appeals to you.

I can't wait for the rims to get here (hopefully only another 3 weeks but could be twice that). My parents are yellin at me everyday that I'm putting too much money into my car and not saving any for a rainy day They want me to cancel the order but I'm not going to, haha. They're gonna be even more pissed when my Energy Suspension bushings come along with my illuminas and s-techs! Then Cattman headers and a 3.5 swap! Good times

I can't tell the difference. I gathered that I have Sage Green mist if my interior has grey leather .

And All-Season Directionals for life...wait....I have them because I'm lazy to
A) Change them myself
B) Line up to get them changed

nice rims! i checked those out at one of the numerous rim places on rt 46 which ultimately i had to make a choice between these 2:

As u can see, the 5 spoke won my heart over, mainly because they were 19's and looked sick
