Cruise Control Problems...

Wondering if anyone could tell me what be the matter with my cruise control system on my 95 Max. Ok here is what happens. My cruise control works only when the lights are OFF. If I have the cruise control on while driving and flip the lights on, the cruise control cuts off and if I have the lights on the cruise control will not engage. Can anyone give me any clues as to what might be wrong here? Thanks!

Your car doesn't like cruising at night.

I think there was somebody else on here that had a similar problem. Try replacing the cruise relay, it's in the engine bay, I think on the passenger side. It should be labled. If you look through the stickies there is a cruise always on mod that jumps the relay. Try that and see if the cruise works. If that keeps it on all the time, then the relay is bad.
Also check the main switch to make sure there isn't a short with the interrior lights. Turn off the interrior lights by turning the dimmer all the way down. See if the crusie works with the headlights on and the interrior lights off. If that works, replace the main switch.

Well I tried to cruise with the lighs on but interior ones turned off, did not work, and I replaced the ASCD relay and that did not work either. I think there might be a probelm with the brake swithc or something. Before it stopped working with my lights on, if I would have the cruise switch on, but the cruise not engaged, when I pressed on the brake, the "cruise" indicator on the dash would momentarily flash...
