i say maybe because i am waiting on the guy to tell me a price on it b4 i even really get into looking at it - before i get to far ahead of myself i just wanted to know the major advantages of the 02 over my 97. The 02 max is black and its an se so it has the moonroof the 17s spoiler leather seats and of course the 3.5. My max ---->check it here is pretty nice itself and i have spent so much money on it but i dunno i just want a newer car -just let me kno how much of a difference there really is between the 2 cars and if it is worth it 2 move on -i will b adding stuff about the 02 in a few hours when i go look it over again

 

question for ya sir...I see you have the stillen kit...this is probably a stupid question, but where do the side skirts bolt on?

 

i used rivets and they just go right over the oem sideskirts -stillen is amazing and fits perfectly -it just slides right over and "bolts" up

 

OMFG DO IT....lol sorry cuz im getting an 02/03....i hav a 96 max...yea there good n **** and i bet uve done alot to it but its a 4th gen..i also hav a G35 and that things a monster...there is no doubt you should make the change, its alot nicer and newer...i tihnk u should get the car for around 15k dependind on mileage...i found an SE 6speed white...leather for 13k here..nothing wrong...

yea the car has 60k on it right now its an 02 black on black brand new tires and brakes just had a tune up actually a few days ago heated stearing wheel seat everything-my question is is it really that much nicer/faster then mine both are autos btw-i drove it once but i didnt get on it so i dont really kno in that field

 

yo i feel you man, im tired of modding my car, its not the same as a new car, i myself am looking for an 02 max but 6speed. that heaviest gle with headers will run 14s son!!

neways im tired of hooking up this iron horse, iwant an 02 max, no matter what and how much money you put in a 4th gen it willl always be an old car. 60k miles! go for it

 

2damax that is exactly how i feel- i love my car but no matter how much i do to it its still 8 years old and over 100k on it

 

get rid of it.......at least ur still in the max family.

Are you going to pay cash for the difference on the 02? If not keep the 1997. It looks like a nice car and with only over 100K (you didn't say by how much) it should be relatively trouble free for some time to come. You won't get your money out of the mods you have on the 97.

Don't go in debt at age 18 for a newer car. Just my $0.02.

Agreed. Your 97 looks great and you can get atleast 70k more miles out of her. I have a 95 GLE, she looks great, a beast, and most importantly she is paid for. I don't know about you but I hate CAR NOTES.. But its your life and your money do what you do..

 

well i got a few offers last night from some local kids but i really dont kno what to sell it for-check out my cardomain and let me kno what youll thynk i can realistically get for it btw it has 140k on it
umm also just soem stuff that isnt on the cardomain all the pirelli tires are brand new with road hazards which cost me over 200 a tire and they have less than 500 miles on them um new axles, brakes, calipers ,rotors ,ks and i believe the rest is on there thanks
