K&N Drop in
K&N Drop in
What kind of K&N filter do I need that would fix the Maxima? Do they come in different sizes?
It should just drop in right? Then I could take off either the top or bottom piece from the airbox to increase air flow and sound?
Would it still sound as good as a pop-charger?

Just buy the K&N filter, drop it in, and call it a day.

.... open tabs holding down airbox closed... remove old filter.. put in new filter.. and if you want to do the flipped airbox thing... loosen the clamp(hose tightening thing wiht screw) right after the box where the filter is.. rotate up... and tighten back.. and use a zip tie or two to hold donw the airbox.. its sounds wicked loud.. and annoyed the hell outa me afer... 1 min...

I posted this in another is thread asking weather or not the K&N was worth it.

I did 3 runs with the K&N that has about 6k on it, then I did 3 runs with the Fram that has about 3K on it, then 2 more with the K&N, and then 2 more with the Fram.

I have nothing performance wise done to my car yet. The only thing different from stock about my intake is 1 3" hole in the air box. I tried as hard as I could to make the results as accurate as possible.
