anyone ever get this one and if so how to fix problem. i have noticed that this problem only occurs if i dont let the car warm up all the way to operating temp 1st. happens alot up in altitude. 5000ft elevation but does not happen that often at sea level. not sure why? any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Check your TPS. When I was an auto and my TPS was loose, I got a 4th gear code.

 

not familiar with that code but any type of "running" issues are sure to surface more at higher alt. due to less O2 , leading to a richer mixture. wont burn as efficiently in a cold motor.
