Auto flush

Hey guys, I have an auto with 123.000 miles on it and I was wondering if it is too late to get the tranny flush. Also what should I expect to pay and how long should it take. Thanks in advance.

Fluids and Lubricants section.

If you've never done anything before in terms of flushing/fluid changes, just get a drain and fill < 50 bucks, or do it yourself for 10.

Well it's never too late. Check the fluid. If its dark red/brownish, get it flushed. Valvoline is about 100 bucks. Or do it yourself if you know what youre doing. If the fluid isnt that dark, leave it, or do a drain and fill.

Do it yourself if your just doing a drain and fill. Changes only 25% new fluid.

Look at the bottom of your tranny.
1.See that plug (not the oil pan!)?
2.Drain it out. Plug it up.
3.Start up the car.
4.Pour in 1.5 quarts tranny fluid.
5.Get in the car and shift through the gears 4-5 times.
6.Keep topping off if it's not enough fluid yet. Remember, shift after every time you add.
Make sure to check fluid level next day. Air bubbles in the system may bring the level down after proper circulation.

If you wanna change out even more fluid, just start the car up while you're draining out the tranny. It'll circulate and push out even more! Just make sure not to take out too much or your tranny will start smoking!

Other than that, fill up, start up, fill up; this will get all of your old fluid out baby!
