I have a 97 Max and my sunroof goes back with no problem, but when closing it stops a lil more than half way closed. I can still hear the motor going and will go back to open again just stops there when trying to close it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

you can try close it manually...

 

If you pull off the plastic piece that has the switches in it you can use a 3/16 allen wrench to close it.

 

You need do a rebuild on the sunroof. It's in the stickies because I contributed my thread years ago when my cousin's sunroof went through a major overhaul. The kit is under $50.
