Tein Basic Questions
Tein Basic Questions
Alright guys, i checked my OEM stuff out the other day, and its all circa-1995, and shows definate signs of wear, so im going to replace them with the Tein Basics. Now what i need from you all is a list of the parts from my current assemblies to transfer over, what new parts i need to buy, and a rough estimate of what this will cost me. As always, any help i get is GREATLY appreciated.
i just did it about a month ago and all u need to replace with the stock part is SPACER, INSULATOR, BASEMOUNT, AND BEARING for the front...the rear is WASHER, RUBBER BUSH, A PEICE CALLED RUBBER ON THE DIAGRAM, AND THE PLATE...........One thing to watch out for is u need to enlarge a hole to a 9/16 in the front tein strut..The buttom that has the 2 bolts...for some reason they didnt drill a bigger hole....the Rear is fine no drilling needed...when u get the coilover u will see what i mean with using what stock parts. It shows it in a diagram...I love the system and i hope this helped. o yea the instuction doesnt say shyt about drilling but u do. if u want give me your email and ill send u the instruction....you have to have adobe reader

wow i thought i was the only one that had to do this, i called tein and was on the phone with them for about a half hour, and they just transfered me around and called me a lier, i was fukcen pissed!!!!
I had to wait a day and my friends day took it to his machince shop and opened up the holes a bit.
but i love the coilovers ....
the tein kit is good .. I have it ... like the other guy said you just need to drill the front strut holes bigger ... other than that its a great kit .... youll have to use spring compressors to get your upper strut mounts off the old suspension ... other than than prety straight foward ... if your gonna do it yourself make sure you have airtools
