Problems

I've noticed that all of our cars are starting to have the same problems around the same time. It's pretty funny too. Today my ECU threw the ever so popular 0304 (knock sensor) and one I haven't seen yet an 0103 (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) Anyone have this problem? If so How did you fix it?

Replace the thermostat. Reset the ECU. If the KS code comes back, replace the KS.

It seems everything sets off the KS code, replace the thermostat and try a reset.

Where do you go to replace the Thermostat? The dealer? Has anyone ever done this?

Go buy a new thermostart for $7.99 and a gasket and do it yourself. If you don't know where it is, follow the coolant lines.

That all you have to do? No $500 brand new plastic thing from a cereal box. Just $8 and reset the ECU and that my stupid CEL should go off.

THT - why replace the thermostat - shouldn't he be replacing the ECTS?

You're absolutely correct. That's what I meant but for some reason, typed thermostat.

I also think the KS can make other codes turn on as well. When i first had my KS code it was making my rear o2 sensor code go on. When i replaced the KS the o2 sensor code has gone away and hasnt come back

sometimes other parts can trip an KS codes, sometimes some extra testing will really tell you what parts are really dead and what is testing fine. a Multimeter will be your best friend.
