CEL, o2 and more..

Okay...

I've been having this odd problem of the CEL tripping once in a while. A total of 3 times or so. The 1st 2, i pulled a code reading 0707, which is the rear o2 sensor. And recently after resetting ECU another CEL comes on, this time 0505 (no error).

I put an order in for my o2 sensor (rear) so that will be coming in. But the odd thing is that this last time around, the CEL says 05/05 which is no error detected and no, the 0707 code did not come up again. I've stood there watching the thing a few minutes and still 0505.

Would it be a waste to replace my rear? Or exactly what is the problem that's throwing it off from time to time?

Thanks.

Just wait. Drive like you don't even know about it and it should return sometime.

I have done that w/ the 0707. But just a few days ago I've ordered the rear 02, cuz i was like oh boy, here comes a 3rd time w/ the code popping up. I even checked it to see if it was loose wires, but it looked okay.

The o2 rear is coming in anyhow, and I guess it won't hurt to have one incase. Just that money could be ALLOCATED better, but wait, gas costs $40 for a full tank anyhow.. :P

Next time the light pops on, go to your local Autozone (if you have those in HI)... have them pull the codes (free) and see what turns up.
