Help Please!

my drivers side headlight doesnt work anymore because the plug that goes into the bulb is broken (causing it to be a loose fit) and is partially burned. Not sure how, but some of the inside melted. I called up some local junkyards in Houston, TX but no luck . Nissan dealership said it would cost about $140 for labor plus cost or replacing the part So I was wondering where I could go to replace/fix this?

Also, do the foglights need to be turned on as pairs? I only have 1 side and it doesnt turn on. If i were to buy the other foglight, would the harness still work because its been dangling there for so long in rainy weather and such?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

You need to replace the headlight harness. Were you running brighter bulbs in there? There is no way the stock bulbs would burn the harness.

I had hyperwhites installed. It says 9004 12V 100/80W

so that harness on ebay upgrades my current 9004 to 9007 right?

does anyone have any info on the foglights?

THANKS ALOT!

get a voltmeter to check and make sure you still have juice going to the foglamp harness. Mine worked when one of my bulbs was blown so I would assume yours will too. As far as a headlight harness go to Pepboys or your local autparts store and get one. The bulbs you were using were way brighter than stock 9004s, which typically run 55W/65W. I've melted a harness before. It's really easy to fix just follow the wires off the old harness with the ones off the new harness, solder or electrotape it and voila, harness problem no more. The harness I bought works for both 9004 and 9007.
