I'm on STechs and my alignment was fine. You may want to pick up a camber kit Just in case. I bought one when I did my suspension and ended up not needing it. I have it for sale cheap if you want it shoot me a PM>

I also am about to S-tech AGX it, when my paycheck comes in. Did you purchase the camber bolts from tire rack? the 1 degree bolts? I wonder if I'll need them also, but it would be better to have them and not need them than the other way around.

How much shipped? If speedy doesnt want it.

i got tein stechs with the agx setup. my camber was off after installation but not by much! but at the same time i got my camber bolts installed for free cuz of "miscommunication" between the service writer and mechanic. so i paid $112 for 3yr alignment and freeeeeeee camber bolts with install.

as for where to buy the bolts....go to tire rack they have em.

About a $400 difference. Camber bolts are just that bolts that replace the factory strut bolts but have a spacer like washer that can give an extra 1degree of camber +/- *(they have camber bolts that can do up to 2 degrees)

Camber plates mount on top of the strut, makes changing the camber much easier and I believe you'll have up to a 4 degree +/- to play with. But all camber plates I've seen for the 4th gen max were priced very high.

wow, so many s-tech threads. i have heard that some people need more than 1 degree to get back into spec with s-techs. why does it vary so much from car to car? if you install the same suspension parts, wouldn't the change be the same?

EDIT: i guess if some OEM suspension parts are bent or worn would change things, right?

I believe basically bent parts is what leads certain people to needed camber bolts. After so many years and depeing on how harsh of roads that max has faced could have bent certain suspension parts that will throw off factory spec alignment.

In one thread about 3 people didnt need camber bolts, but I've read a few that do. I myself and going to not purchase camber botls and see if I needd them when I get my alignment, One new control arm will be going on the car so in a way this could be kind of a test. If I do end up needing it, tirerack ships fast 2day air for a good price so I wouldnt have to wait long for the bolts to come in.

They go for $20 a pair on tirerack plus shipping. I bought 2 pairs, one for each side. Never even took em out of the box. $20 shipped each, save you on shipping costs.

Im on AGX/Tien S-techs. I compared it to another .org member's car in person that was on Progress/Illuminas, and they were about the same. All you need to do is take it for an alignment after install and that is it.

drill out one of the lower strut bolt holes to adjust camber further. no need to buy those cheap and weak bolts.
