Odometer question

My car started making a rattling noise. I then noticed thst my odometer was not moving at times. I first thought I was getting bad gas mileage, but I know the odometer is on and off. Is there a how-to to check and fix an odometer?

Thanks in advance

same thing happened to me, its a common problem. I bought a Gauge cluster with similar mileage that works from the classifieds, now everything fine. Its easy to install too.

Dont know excatly how to repair, I had this similar problem when I first got my max, but I got the dealership to fix it for free, it was a bad "seepdo head" which needed replacing. It was fixed and I had proper working odometer. Call you local nissan and get a price quote depending on how expensive it is, maybe better to buy a guage cluster and go with that.
