O2 sensor replacement

My engine light came on and OBD II code is P0135: Oxygen Seonsor Heater Cirquit Malfunction for O2 sensor 1.
My 98 Maxima has 3 sensors: FL(from left), FR(from right) and R(rear).
Does somebody know which one is number 1?

Thank you.

P0135 = 0901 = Front Heated Oxygen Sensor, Right Bank

This is straight from the stickies :

That is the front O2 sensor in the Y-pipe closest to the firewall.

Hello:

I just had the exact same problem and my Maxima is a 99 GLE. I changed the sensor and unplugged the battery for over a half an hour and the sensor light is still on. Is there anything else I could do or maybe that I haven't done?

As I already stated in the other thread, reset the ECU using the procedure in the ECU sticky.

You can reset the light by OBD II tool which you can rent in AUTOZONE for free or check Chilton's manual how to reset in computer.
