Getting new shocks

I am going to be getting new shocks for my car. How much better is the ride after you get new shocks? Mine are bad. Every little bump I hit you can feel it. It sucks. It makes me car all over the place on highway. I hope after I get them the ride is smooth. I would get performance ones and drop it but can't afford it. I already have the rear struts does anyone know where I can get some cheap front struts?

Pick up some lightly used SE struts from the 4th Gen classifieds forum... cheap and will get a firmer ride (but not harsh) than your stock GXE setup.

i don't know where else you can can get new OEM from other than the dealership, but the words 'dealership' and 'cheap' cannot be used in the same sentence. it's impossible. but there are some stock replacements.

Get some tockico blues - they are equivalent to stock replacements. They are fairly cheap. Try tirerack.com or rockauto.com... look around. If you want something a little firmer, then look into KYB GR2s.

KYB GR2

KYB GR-2 are awesome struts. Had a 1990 Camry with Intrax springs and KYB GR-2 struts. Jumped a crest in the road and did a nose dive into the pavement. Didn't bottom out and didn't bust the struts. Scary as hell, but alas.
