Major vacum leak!

I changed my fuel filter today. I messed with the intake manifold gasket some since I just replaced it and cant get it to set in evenly.
So I go to start the car and it will not run unless im on the gas constantly. I hear a huge hissing noise but I can't figure out where it is coming from. I have had some hesitation/bucking problems before this. Sounds like its coming from intake manifold but no air. Is there something behind the motor that could have com loose???? ! thing after another... Used to never have any problems, looks like my luck ran out

this sounds like the exact problem i had when i finished installing the 00VI, i heard a hissing noise and wouldnt stay idle unless i was on the gas, so my guess would be def. a leak between the lower and upper intake manifolds.

Get a can of brakleen or throttle body cleaner and spray it around the hoses/ gaskets with the engine running. if it goes into a leak it will make the engine rev up.

Not sure what the intake manifold gasket has to do with the fuel filter?

You are talking about the plenum gasket right? Did you pull the plenum or...? what exactly where you doing?

Over a year ago I broke off the passenger side bolt on the intake manifold. It has been clamped down with a c-clamp since. I have tried to order this part a few times with no success. Any way the clamp gave out after changing the gasket and must have been causing the large leak. Still have a hesitation problem and getting a wobble sound from the pulley area along with some whirling noise . I don't know .......
