Electrical issue
Ok so today my 3 buddies and i decide to change my rotors, pads, brake lines, inner, outter tie rods, lower control arms and strut bearings. we get everything done in roughly 5 hours. everything went smoothly till i was driving on the way home. i have a 215 amp high output alternator about a month old. as soon as the car would get over 2000 rpm the voltatage would dip from 14.4 to 12.1 anything over the 2100 rpm range and the voltage would dip. anything below and it stayed normal. i rechecked the tensioner to make sure the belt was tight and even tightened it a little more to be on the safe side. could the alt have burned out possibly maybe a bad resistor or something? i know that doing what my friends and i did had basically nothing to do with the engine bay at all except tightening 6 strut top bolts and bleeding the brake system in which case no fluid was spilled. im pretty stumped right now. i have 4 guage grounding kit and the power wire for my alternator ground and power is 0 guage.

This is a hard question to answer as you have done a lot of the elctrical components yourself. I would suggest that you look at all the wires that may effect your alternator. Check the belt tension as you have said and see how it rides. I'm not too familiar with this setup but it might help to ask someone who has put in an aftermarket alternator to have a better persepective of the alternator working over an extended legnth of time.

all belts are new even the tensioner is new i replaced everything when i changed out the alternator. all wires are secure and its only about 2100 rpm no matter when i drive the car. warmed up or not.
