I've got a 96 Maxima, Just wondering, did you guys have to cut the existing plastic off before putting on the new mesh? For a 96 maxima, there are little hexagon shaped holes i think, so would I have to cut all that off before i put hte mesh behind and then glue it?

96max, take a look at my crummy photo web page to see how an overlaying grille might look on your car...because we both have the same front end...seeing that mine is a 95.

take care,

aight guys.. i read this thread and got remembered that a piece of my gutter guard had come off, and was jsut sitting in my garage.. (and wasnt going to go back on anytime soon).. so i decide it would look good so i cut me some pieces and took off the grill and hot glued them on (it worked really good.. the glue stuck to the plastic really well) .. well anyways.. it looks really good, and i recommend it.. its also very cheap, i think they are like 88 cents for a piece..

Here's my pic of the Home Depot grill. They cost $0.95 a piece here, and I needed three pieces. I used fiberglass the first time, but it didn't flex with the bumper, so this time I used hot glue....that is what Wings West uses on theirs.

That hot glue will melt in the summer sun. I think some other type glue might work better.
