Maybe, but probably not. Your ecu assumes a voltage to mass airflow curve that the 4th gen maf sensor produces. If the 5th gen calibration is different then your afr will be off in open loop.

The connector is probably different, too.

 

'00-'01 maf sensors are known to go bad. ask any 5th gen owner and they'll tell you
