Yokohoma vs. OEM for fourth gen?

Anybody here on the Avid V4S? It looks like it might be my next tire...Thoughts? I am currently on some Continental CH95's. Would making the switch to the yokahomas be worth it? Or replace with the OEM COnti's?
TIA

Continentals were never the factory mounted tires for our cars. I have Yokohama Avid H4s (similar tire, with a lower speed rating) on my Maxima and I love them. I still have the 15" rims on mine though. I don't think you can go wrong with the Yokohama's - all around a great tire. Read the reviews on tirerack.com for more info.

Hmm, I guess the dealer put them on my car when I bought them b/c they put new tires before I came to pick the car up when I bought the car used from a Nissan Dealer in 2002. I figured thats what the OEM tire was. Thanks for the input

If you like the Conti's then stick with them. I'm not familiar with that particular Continental tire, but the Yokohama's are a great tire at an affordable price.

i've got the v4s, no complaints. i don't do a lot of on the edge driving or anything, but they're good for everyday use.

Go with the Yokohoma. They are great tires for the price. I had them on my front tires when I first bought the car. I could run 140MPH then get off the highway and they would handle great around the corners. I used them up pretty quick though and replaced them with some cheep Coopers.

i have YK420's on and so far, they seem good. I have never really have a high performance tire, though , so not much to compare it so. My sister's BF had Avid H4S on his Jetta and they were crap.

Same here. Excellent balance. Does everything extremely well but no one thing overwhelmingly spectacular. Exactly what I wanted and they are a great price.

I'm not sure how long I've been running Avids. A long time now. The H4's were discontinued in April and have been replaced with the H4S's. They are now even better.
