SES/CEL code 0413 --P0154 -Not in stickies

Hello all,
I got CEL code 0413 a while ago and cleared it and it didn't come back for a few weeks, now it's on again so it must be a real problem. The code explanation is not in the stickes but I found a few descriptions on google, but they all seem to deal with 00 and newer maximas.

The only thing I've found is that the code is realated to 'Front H02S Bank2'
Any idea what this is? Do I need to replace an O2 sensor in the front?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

0413 = Front heated Oxygen sensor, Bank 2.

This is the front o2 sensor in the y-pipe closest to the radiator (front) of the car.

Replace it: www.oxygensensors.com (mention maxima.org for a discount) and get a Bosch OEM plug/play replacement.

Thanks njmodi,

Just to clarify, this would be the Front Drivers Side (LH) O2 senser as shown here http://www.courtesyparts.com/A32_O2-sensors.html ?

bring up an old thread...

i just got this code as well, 0413. so i guess it's the o2 sensor that's bad in my car.

before the engine light came on, my car started having this puttering sound when i first start the car. it lasts for about 2-3 minutes, and then the sound is gone. it's gotten progressively worse, since the sound was only at the first 30 seconds or so before.

by puttering sound, it's a little bubbly. i'm not sure how other to describe it. could a bad o2 sensor cause this? i'm thinking it's some other problem. egr valve perhaps?

anyone can help? thanks!

well i'm just wondering if for anyone how's ever had a bad o2, if it makes the bubbly sound. i don't see the two tying together.

unless the o2 is out of the hole it sits in, no. sounds like your describing an exhuast leak.
