Illuminas w/ H&R springs...

Hey guys sorry im doing a repost of this. But i cannot find the thread with the post of the illuminas and H&R springs. I want to know what exactly i will need. For sure ill need the Illumina Struts and the H&R springs. i will also need new strut mounts right? Just to be on the safe side. I will need the camber bolts as well right? Anything else i forgot or missing please write up on the thread. Since im going to put a whole new suspension on the car. Thanks alot

I'm getting ready to do the same thing on my '96 5 speed. I think you have to look at the age/condition of your current suspension parts and make a decision of how long you really plan on keeping this car. Worn parts are candidates for immediate replacement. Parts with high mileage will need eventual replacement...do you want to take the front end apart again in 20K miles?? I don' t think you really need camber adjusters to run a mild-drop spring like H&Rs unless you already have camber to spec issues. I definitely would change the strut mount plates (with the bearings) unless they have been changed real recently. I would recommend the spring bushings (I am also going to wrap). I will be changing Lower Control Arms w/ balljoints, my LCA and sway bar bushings because I will be keeping this car for a long, long time. Your individual plans and needs really determine what/if anything else you should change with the spring/strut selection we have both made. Hope this is helpful... anyone else agree/disagree ???

Excellent post. I'm about to also do the same thing. The only thing I question is the need to replace the lower control arms.
