Brakes?
Brakes?
OK, so I needed my rotors cut down, new pads and a new caliper on the rear driver side cuz: 1. it didn't work and 2. whenever the e-brake was pulled the back pad would get stuck and lock on to the back of the rotor.
Anyway, so I changed the fronts last week. Everything was fine. Now, today I changed the rears and put the caliper on, rotors, pads and even needed to buy a special tool to push in the rear passenger side caliper so it would fit over the new brake pads. I continued to bleed the line, and well, MY brakes seem funny. My brakes were never SENSITIVE, but now they seem to have sort of a delayed feeling...sorta like I have nothi in the line when I first step on the brakes, but right before I get to the bottom then they will grab.
What might be causn this? Did I need to bleed all the lines maybe? I thought only the one you changed. Is it possible there's still ait in the line or what? I'm clueless guys.

You need to bleed your brakes.
If you're unsure of your abilities to work on brakes, you really should have somebody else do this job for you. Your car's brakes seem dangerous at this point, to be driving around in it.

Does anyone have a write up on Rebuilding Calipers? My father says he used to do it "Back in his day." I have a feeling that things have changed a little bit. Might not have change much, but I would like to have as few problems as posible. I've done everything on my 95 Max from changing the brake light to replacing the sunroof to replacing and semi rebuiling my starter (took me a week, I'll be leaving it to the pros from now on). If some could provide me with a write up it would be very helpful. Please, before my dad gets to my car!

when ever you open one of the brake lines, air will get in and you will have to bleed the system.
