If they're RH Evolutions, the one piece wheels, then no they will not fit without spacers. I'm pretty sure the Evolutions only come in a 42 offset. A long time ago, I almost bought those rims, but the offset wouldn't clear the brakes. But a 10mm spacer would solve that problem.

If they're real Racing Hart C5's, the 3 piece version, then it will depend on the offset. By the 7.5" width though, it sounds like the 1 piece wheels.

35 offset should be enough actually, but it may depend on the spoke design. My old 17"s were a 35 offset, then I had 42 offset 19"s with a 1/4 spacer, so effective offset was 36 or so. My new wheels are a +30 offset, and there is plenty of clearance.

my spoke design is rather complex.

17x7 Velox 42offset

It clears but to the bare minimum.
i can only fit a credit card in between the spoke and the calliper. if i put 2 cards together, it touches the calliper and spoke.

If you are that close with the stock caliper, you won't have a chance with the cobra rotor / 300z caliper.

So I'll need more then the 1in. that I have over the oem huh, great.
So what size spacer do you think I will need to clear?
i guess Im also going to have to go with longer studs.

If you only have that 1" of space the picture shows, most likely you will need spacers. My wheels had more clearance than that, and they didn't clear the brakes.

I can understand using a very thin spacer. But using a thick spacer can't be good. Just stacking spacers and using longer studs can get dangerous.

I never really understood why people go to such extremes. Especially now when there are threads that show you which wheels will clear. None of this was available when I was doing my bbk. Now, lots of oem 17"/18", G35 and 350z wheels clear no problem. And many of these wheels can be found cheap too.

I highly doubt a 45mm offset will clear

With a 45 offset, not even close to clearing. And Maximas are 5x114.3

you guys are missing the point.... it's not the offset it's the wheel design. I have +45 fit, +40 fit, +34 fit .... +38 don't fit. You will need close to 2" from the mounting point (where the wheel meets the rotor) to the inside of the spoke. From what I have seen you need a wheel the is high center of has spokes that curve out to clear the caliper.

It's both, a lot more +35 wheels will fit as opposed to +42, etc. And when you're buying wheels mail order, it's going to be very hard to figure out if a certain wheel fits because wheel shops hardly ever have that measurement.
