My main concern is power i want the most power outta aftermart intake i really dont care about sound. My buddies intake sounds like he has a supercharger under his hood i literly heard it over my car and we were about 15 yards apart

If you're looking for power, you're looking in the wrong area. Intakes yield very little, if any, HP/TQ. I am of the opinion that you can't gauge an intake's effect on power because whenever a dyno is done, the hood is up, making a WAI the same as a CAI. I suppose the tubing could have an effect but little, if any.

You want power? Retrofit a 00VI or get an ECU upgrade. Or if you're an automatic, convert to 5spd.

 

Instead of intakes .. add a word ,... intake MANIFOLD

well lets put it this way i want the best aftermarket one my intake is broke so i need a new one so i want the one that gonna give me the best performance

Seriously, just get a PR CAI and call it a day.

Well I got one off of ebay and installed it my self, the power I got is awesome and the sound is spectacular, all for 44.99!

i'd say keep the stock intake. I am going back to mine just because i like the improved throttle response and more linear feel

 

replace it w/ stock.
