That said, the SilverStar's aren't that cool and yet I still find myself paying the 20 dollars a bulb for them every year when one blows..I need to convert to bi-xenon ;0

Ok I just went back and looked again, and SCO lists two kinds of Nokya harnesses...ones that require splicing, and ones that they claim require "No cutting of Factory Wires Needed". So I'm not sure which of the harnesses you bought, but it says right on the site there are two kinds, and one requires no cutting

Which makes me wonder what's the point, since they're not that much cheaper

well they were cheaper when I got them off ebay. $35 shipped for both bulbs and harness. I've had them in my car for a year now and no problems.

I got my Silver Stars for $29 off eBay, and they've lasted me three years so far... I know I'm in the lucky minority though, and I probably won't get them again. My headlights are on borrowed time.

I hate my SilverStars. Been disappointed with them ever since I bought them. The light output sucks, and they aren't much whiter than stock. Hell, most people don't even notice mine aren't stock.

Hehe I told my cousin to get SilverStars a couple years ago and he got them...the beam was all jacked up! There were dark spots and it was overall shaped weird...So he threw them out and put in his stockers and kicked my *** for making him spend like $40+..lol
Oops...

So what about PIAA 9007 lights? Are they quality? Or is Nokya better?

i have PIAA ion yellow fogs and they look awesome. thinknin i might get some expensive *** PIAA white headlights when my current ones go out, just cuz im so happy with how the fogs look. there should be a pic on my cardomain on the sacond page i think, anyway it looks hot and helps out loads when it comes to ****ty weather.

right now i have some cheapo ebay lights that were $12 shipped and they kicked silverstars ***. but they've made it 4 months which is more than i expected, but i will def be gettin some more PIAAs soon or maybe nokya- i had them in my last car and they looked really good but they didnt last the 2 years i had the car so maybe they're not the best

Are you serious? With the ridiculous amount of mechanical knowledge you have about these cars, you're b!tching about splicing three wires?

Haha...I'm just not good at electrical work. Well, not "bad", just inexperienced. Rewiring my fogs was a fun experience, but it seemed like a lot of work because I somehow forgot to put the relay back in

I dunno...I guess I just figure for something this simple I'd rather plug it in. If I were to do a 9007 conversion, I wouldn't be *****ing about splicing I guess. BTW, are their still 9007 conversion harnesses available to buy, or not?

why is the 9007 beam pattern better than the 9004? Bigger? Wider?

Can you explain a bit more about this:

THT says:
"buy an upgraded harness and Nokya Arctic Whites from SCO"
I personally back PIAA Extreme Whites. Sure, they cost, but they perform to the cost.

Looks pretty good. I'm willing to bet it could look better if you had better bulbs, though. Nice 9007 setup though

It would probably be far more work than its worth to do it, mind as well put in projectors if you were going to attempt that.

Do i still have to switch the high beam/low beam wire when I get the upgraded 9007 nokya harness? Do i just cut my stock harness off completely or I leave it and splice the 9007 nokya harness in?

Yes, you will still have to switch the high/low wires. Do not cut the harness off completely. Snip about an inch and a half from the socket, splice in the harness and go.

Can I buy the upgraded Nokya 9007 harness from SCO for $25. rather than the $55. from suvlights.com ? Are they basically the same? Because the difference between $25. and $55. is you know..... So in you boys opinion, which one should I order today? The Nokya 9007 harness from SCO, for $25. or the $55. one from suvlights?
Thanks

if you ask me these colored or super bright (what ever you want to call them) halogen lights suk and are not worth the money. it seems like people waste tons of money on these bulbs that blow out in a month or do output well enough or what ever the reason. if u ask me in the end it would be more cost effective just to buy hids, do a retro and call it a day. thats what i did and i couldnt be happier. my $0.02.
