5th Gen. Starter on 4th Gen?

I read that a while back that 5th gen. starters fit and operate perfectly on 4th gen. Maximas. Has anyone done this and what were the issues if any?
My research indicates the 4th gen. is 10 tooth and 5th gen. is a 11 tooth, so will this be a problem? Thanks

Even if it did fit .. why use the 5g? I'd use it only if someone gave it to me .. Or go to the store and buy the 5g see if it fits, if it doesn't, take it back and get the right one act stupid and say damn I thought I had a 2000 Maxima...

That's my opinion ... it sucks I know
