Just wondering about regular copper spark plugs. I know about NGK plat., but I have also heard that copper is a better conductor than platinum. Just wondering. Has anyone put these plugs on?

It's just that the Bosch plugs don't have the umpf like the NGK's have at the low end. I can notice the difference. My next go around will be the NGK's again.

Done that. It seems the copper ones would be better for performance, right? And at 2.50 a plug that's a he11 of alot cheaper than plat's, even if you do have to replace them more.

not only that. in high refined engine such as Max copper will most likely cause your engine to hesitate or even miss. ig you like smooth engine then PFR5G is the way to go, if you like smooth and powerful engine PFR6G is the way to go. anything else (especially holofire, splitfire, rapidfire and the like) is asking for holes in your pistons. those will do fine however in chevy cavalier.

I went to the NGK iridium's. Very hard to find where I am in Denver, but I found a place, Monarch Products, who were referred to me by the people at NGK when I called. I got them over the phone for $6.40 each! I really noticed the difference over the factory NGK's. Their number is 1-888-800-9629

Theoretically, that's true. And theoretically, the interval of replacement would have to be 30k instead of 60k. Having not tried copper plugs in the VQ, I'll not speculate.

It's probably worth a shot to see how they do. I doubt any damage will occur......

Isn't the interval for copper plugs like 15k?? He would have to spend 4 x $2.50 plus the labor to change them 4 times. Still worth it?

Are the NGK iridiums the ones that people are recommeding to buy? I noticed there are 3 types of NGK platinums: hot, cold, standard. Are the iridiums platinum? I'm a newbie at this.... I need to get a set of new plugs too. help!
