I was big on getting the altezzas when they came out, but I don't know now, these sorta take to much attention from everything else... sorta too flashy...

Hey guys for everyone with the 97-99 max there is away you can make the altezza fit by changing your bumper and trunk lid to a 95/96. My opinion I dont like them i'll stick to the red/clear for my 95.

 

 

For those with 97+ that are looking at these, check to make sure that the trunk looks the same as the 95-96. . . I know that the 95-96 have a bump in the trunk and lights that I have been told isn't there in the 97+. . . I wouldn't doubt that the sizes are close, but also look into how the lights are shaped.

Well as I told some of your before in a previous thread, there were gonna be coming out in a couple of months. I had to do some fitting stuff for the company that maked 90% of the alteezas out there. This was about 3 weeks ago. It should be here in the states soon for the 97-99. Dont know if there is a difference between the 95-96. Maybe just the screws and the back of the lights are in a different pattern? Dont know but once they come in they owe me a set of lights so I will take a pic with it on one side of my car. Dont know exactly how its gonna look but who knows. Some of the lights out there look ok but Im really not sure about the Max's. Ill keep you posted on this.

im not a big fan of any altezza lights the reason why is that almost every honda has a pair of those damm lights and i know for damm sure i dont want to be looking like a honda so thats what i think of the lights and also they dont even look that ill what i would do is get set of the clear out the 4 piece and do some kind of custom work so it looks like diffrent from everyone elses lights

 

I don't think it would look half bad if it wasn't soo flashy and shiny. I know thats the whole purpose of the lights, but I think they'd look better with like a carbon fiber or black housing instead of chrome. Maybe even the same color of the car. Who knows....Maybe someone can photoshop that......

 

what the hell are you guys thinking?? those lights suck, they'll make your car look so ricey, what the hell is wrong w/people, do you really think someone will see your maxima with those lights and say "damn those lights look soo good"...its not gonna happen, our cars are a step above ricey civics, lets keep it that way.

Here's an idea. How about getting the tails color matched to the rest of the car? I already hate chrome(too flashy, IMHO) in general, and I want to get rid of all of it. It would be a nice touch.

 

In thinking about this some more, I would have to say the inner tails won't fit 97 to 99 models (in additon to the actual physical difference in size described already), although the outer tails would be fine.

I saw something interesting this morning: stock black 95 or 96 Max.....I start looking at the rear bumper and think "hey, that looks like 97-99 bumper because it's about 3 inches longer than 95-96 bumpers (hard to explain but easy to see in person)" Then I realize they used a 97-99 bumper on a 95-96. It does fit, but where the bottom of the trunk meets the bottom of the outer taillights, there is at least a 1/4" space where the trunk looks "pushed in". I guess the trunklids on the 97-99 Maximas are a dab longer and the inner taillights probably are a little "thicker" as well.

My advice for 97-99 guys (besides the obvious rice speech): let someone else be the guinea pig for fitment or try to discover when these will be available. They only have to tool the inner pieces, so I doubt it would be that difficult.....

 

That's because geomax removed the "." and "Shift" keys on his keyboard and stuck it on this dashboard to make his car look different.

Has anyone tried to order tese lights yet. I just tried to order them and after they got all og my info they told me they were unable to process the information and gave me a number to call and of course that was an answering machine.(they are also call autosportwarehouse.com)

Anyways I have been waiting forever for these altezza's. I think they are bad. But also soon they will be making the carbon fiber, blue, red, white, etc. coloring backgrounds for them. Maybe it would look better matching the background color with the color of your car?

 

I got an email from the ADMINISTATOR of altezzalighting and she told me there are limited quantities until they whip up another batch so if you want them DON'T HESITATE....

 

Finally got ahold of someone. My lights are on the way but if you want some you better call soon because they only had 6 pair left out of 50 and I just got one, so that means they only have 5 left. If you want some you better hurry!

 

Well I can't wait til they come out in the 97-99 model b/c i know ill get them!

The Impala Tails are what the Altezza lights for a max would look like if the chrome background was red instead.

Seems Pretty accurate to me.

I still find it amazing that when the Impala came out (mid-90s I think), it was designed with features based on the 3rd gen Maxima, which came out in 89......Oh well, GM's only 8 or so years behind everyone else.....

 

There are about 4 or 5 pair up for auction on Ebay. Starting price is $9.99. So far there's only been 1 bid. The auction ends for the first 3 on the 3rd of June and the other 2 on the 5th. Act fast...............

I emailed altezzalighting.com and they said they are currently working on the altezzas for 97-99, they said not too long they will be out. so everyone just hold your horses for the 97-99 Altezza lights.

can u guys help me out?i dont see a difference between hoesmax and smoothmax's altezz's lights beside that the insides are different color but besides that i dont know the difference. i even try compairing them the my altezza.
