my mechanic told me i'd be better off getting a spindle from a used maxima than buying a new one.. so im checking to see if anyone knows any site where i can get a good deal (going to need right and left).. or the ideal match would be someone with a totaled maxima (from the back) or parts car that's looking to part out / willing to give me the spindle..

- will also post this in regional forums just in case.


P.S. the reason i need a spindle is because mine is bent.. and im having the trans axle replaced.. so figure now is a good time to take care of the spindle..

no junkyard in this area with maximas that i know of... well there are but none where you can come and take the parts. And the ones that take the parts out for you rape you with prices :-/ .. (unless someone knows of something.. let me know).

and NmexMAX im not sure there were 2 little accidents that my car has been through.. im assuming it was the 2nd that did it..

went to firestone got lifetime alignment and wheel balancing and that seemed to take care of that.. months later:

then about 4 days after that post i was driving and when the tranny was switching gears from 1-2 (approx 40 mph..) i felt a sccchnnnaaap and the speedo went from 40 mph - 80 mph and then back down.. i pulled over to the side and popped the hood.. at first i thought maybe a belt? or felt like tranny just **** itself.. then i ran it through the gears and it made the most f*cked up sounds ever.. so ye.. called towing and had it towed to my mechanic.. he said it was the trans axle.. he fixed it somewhat now so it's driveable (but now i drive like a granny because i dont want to experience losing control while going anything over 40 mph)

so ye.. now replacing trans axle.. cv boots.. spindle etc.. was thinking now is a good time to lower the car.. but im thinking i rather wait out this winter.. and take it from there.
