i've had mine for a year and up until last month they were great ( with 1.5" drop and 18" rims) then my front passenger side blew out, so im not sure if i want to get the same ones. but i've heard a few bad reviews on tokico so i dont think ill go with them either.

GR2s are fine for stock height/springs. Some claim that they are harsh in winter, but I've had no problems so far and I'm been riding on them for 3yrs (or so).

I have them on my 96 with H&R's and 16" 98 se wheels. I like the way they feel, only a little harsh in the colder months. Summer is very nice and comfortable and sporty.

If you plan on getting anything bigger than 16" wheels, GR2's might not be the best for you.

Hope that helps out..

Have them married to H-Techs for over year and a half now. No issues so far. Ride is probably as on stock SE, or a tad harsher.

is it bad to get two types of shocks on a car. I have kyb shocks in the front. (not adjustable but mmuch stiffer than stock) and i want to get shocks for the rear. Is it smart to get nicer shocks for the rear?

i have gr2's on a 2 inch drop on 18's and IMHO they are very stiff. even on my stock 15's they are real stiff. Ive had them for a year, and didnt even notice a difference between summer and winter.

my car has numerous creaks and rattles that didnt exist before the drop. also it feels like i SLAM down on potholes or any bumps in the road, or expansion joints. if i could do it again I would have spent more money on illuminas.

my setup is much stiffer than my friends A4 on coilovers and another guys E46 on a 2 inch drop. it is about as stiff as my old 325 on Bilstien sports and H&R race springs (which tucked the whole sidewall plus a little 18" rim into the rear fenders). For the amount that my car is lowered the stiffness should be much less than it is.

Dont get me wrong, i like the handling and grip, but the stiffness is off the charts.

That's why you have a stiff ride, not because of the GR2s.
