I just have a rough idle now and wondering if it's something that happens afterwards and settles down after a couple drives. Checked for leaks and everything is hooked back up correctly and tightly.
btw:: Really easy for anyone who hasn't done it. Took me 30 minutes. just crank the engine 2-3 times and when going for the clamps that hold the hose onto the filter, unscrew them a decent amount. Take the top hose off first, then grab the filter with your right hand, bottom hose with your left, pull until you get a hernia.

also to make it easier it has the iacv adjust screw on top mine is brown colored, and there should be I believe 2 or 3 connectors going into it.

No. Do you know what chinese finger cuffs are? Same principle with a rubber hose. If you grab the hose further away from the filter, it is going to have a tendancy to grip the filter tighter. Pull the filter off the bracket, then slowly twist it back and forth, while twisting the upper hose back and forth, until you get it to break loose from the filter. Then, working from the base of the hose, slowly work it up and off of the filter. Ive had to get a small flathead under the hose to filter before, just to get it to break loose a little so I could work it off. Make sure you pull the fuel pump fuse first, then crank the engine until it won't start. That is to get rid of excess fuel pressure so you do not have fuel flying everywhere when you pull the hose off.

Unscrew the clamps pull the fuel filter towards you and the bottom hose should slide right out. Some gas will leak.
The hose on top though is a PITA, but with some patience you can get it. I started by pullin as hard as I could and tried a twisting motion, but it didn't budge. So I took the flat head screw driver and stuck it under the hose and tried to push it up some to break it a little lose. Then tugged some more. Repeated the last two steps a few times and a few good tugs and it came right off.
Install of the new filter is a piece of cake.

i didnt have a lot of time, and i figured it wouldnt take too long. i just loosened the screw and yanked on it a bit. i was planning on trying again this weekend when i have more time and more patience. i was already pissed off at the time. too much aggression = broken parts or injuries. i thought about a flat head, but was running out of time.
i was just wondering if you try to crank the engine (w/fuse out) and clamp off, maybe the pressure would help the hose off.

I took my car into a new Lubeworld about 10 days ago and got them to replace my fuel filter as they had an opening special on for Cdn$29.99 plus tax (Kralinator fuel filter).
I told the technician he would have to remove the fuel pump fuse and he refused to do so. He just took the gas cap off to relieve fuel line pressure.
He was having some difficulty accessing the fuel filter because of the FSTB so he removed the airbox and hose into the throttle body.
He didn't seem to have that much difficulty removing the hose to the fuel filter with the gas cap off and the fuel pump fuse still in.
He cleaned the throttle body while he was at it with TB cleaner at no extra cost, which suited me just fine as it hadn't been cleaned before.
