Engine light on, pulled code 0505???
Tonight I was driving and my engine light came on. Right when I got home I pulled the codes and I got 0505, I thought that was odd so I watched it a few more times and same code. What would make the engine light trigger if nothing is wrong? Last week I mixed up the vacuum hoses going to the MAP sensor but I fixed that problem. Has this happened to anyone else, or anyone know a reason it triggered?

That happened to me once a while back, reset and it didnt happen again.
Dont quote me but I vaguely remember something in the stickies. If this happens it maybe a sign of the KS going. . . I doubt it but thought I remembered reading it. Reset it and see if the light comes back.

It means your car has no problems. If you have no CEL on and check your codes, you will get the code 0505. Most likely you cleared your code(s) by accident while checking them and so now it shows 0505. You'll just have to wait until the code comes back.

I can't believe this site! I bought a 1998 SE 176,000 miles last March and today thanks to this sight and all the contributions of the members I was able to diagnose my starting problems following the sticky's as well as the threads. I have never worked on a Max but was able to change out my fuel filter (don't hammer me to hard for that, It was a start). After I was done I started to check for gas leaks and the check engine light came on. It wasn't on when I started. Apparently, I disconnected the clip attached to the intake so I could get my hands in there, and left it off while I started the car. That was how I triggered the Check engine light. I didn't realize this so I went to my computer, logged on and learned from this site how to access the computer and read the codes. The code came up 0505. So I went back and re-attached the clip but the light was still on. I was able to shut it off again from the directions from this site and reset the computer. Thanks I really appreciate it. Sorry, if I have posted incorrectly. It's my first.
