Electrical problem...

So when I'm driving if I pull all the window buttons up at the same time with the windows closed my stereo will get very distorted... also when I'm in 1st gear if the rpms dip too low if I take off with out using gas the same thing happens. Alot of times if i'm just listening to my music loud with all 4 speakers turned on the front starts to loose some of its out put. It's nothing in the stereo system as I've exhausted all the possible options related to it.

I just can't figure out what's causing the sound to change and the distortion to come in when the rpms drop or when there is a load on the electrical system (window switches).

Any idea's or suggestions?

When you pull up on your window switches all at the same time when the windows are already up, you are pulling ALOT of current becuase you are trying to move 4 motors that have nowhere to move too....that is why you are experiencing a power loss in your stereo sytem, and the sudden drop in RPM. Also make sure your alternator is not on its way out...you can do this by starting the car, and then disconnecting the negative battery termina....if the engine shuts off, then you have an alternator issue...hope that helps..

Makes sense, thanks for the suggestion, I had the alternator tested, and it's fine. I never really thought about the how much stress that puts on the electrical system. I don't do it often but I just found it odd that this never had happened before.

Why would it do it when I come off the clutch slowly without gas and as soon as the rpm's dip below ~500?

Had similar problems - all grounding related. Check/clean all ground points and tighten. Also check the connections for your window switches - most likely need to be cleaned and tightened _you know the door open in the rain (that was 1/2 of my problem).

Good luck

Your Neg. battery terminal is a little loose or the wires connected to it are loose. This is a Grounding issue. Could be difficult if the Neg. lug is fine. Keep them tight and Clean.
