Brembos and metalmasters = squeeky brakes

Has anyone else had this problem, I just put on Brembo blanks and metal master pads. The brakes squeek really bad now. They sound like they are severly worn out. I'm not sure if there is a way to fix this or just go with a different kind of pad?

has the same problem. installer put anti-squeal/anti-seize on select brake hardware. problem gone. next time oem pads.

yes axxis/pbr pads squeal like no tomorrow....I just bought some axxis ultimates and brembo blanks for my 2k2....screeches like crazy under any braking condition...but they must be at operating temp first...first few miles, they are DEAD QUIET...

same thing with my old 4th gen max...i had brembo blanks and axxis metal masters...screeched the same

Its just how the pads are made, some will screech all the time no matter how new they are.

Ditto - had the same problem. Unfortunately I had to end up replacing my rotors also.

shoot, well I have some cheapo pads that came with my refurb calipers, I may have to try those. Mine squeel regardless of if they are cold or hot to the point that I'm getting brake fade.

Anyone know off the top of their head how much oem pads would be?

Well that sucks. I bought these to get rid of the squeeky brakes.

axxis pads are junk... i wish everyone knew this before they bought them .... i had the ultimates, they dusted horribly and squeaked so much it was embarassing..... OEM pads with new shim kit, cant go wrong!!!! no squeaks and clean rims, great stopping power!

edit: using anti-squeal wont help you ... squeaky brakes are squeaky brakes

I have Axxis Ultimate's paired with Brembo Slotted Rotors and since day one they are really quiet. I havent had one squeak from any side of the brakes. My only complaint is they only work good when they are heated up. When cold (first time you hit the brakes) they dont really want to stop the car. IF i were to do my entire brake setup again, I woulda went with BBK's for the front for sure
