they sell both.......the cat-back is made for 95-96 maximas where the o2 sensor is after the cat......97-99 its in the cat
Hello Guys, I have a 95 Maxima with the Apexi WS Exhaust. I love it to death but one problem is that the "B" Pipe or intermediate pipe that runs from the cat to the exhaust is all rusted. It is not fully Stainless Steel. I installed the exhaust in summer of '01 and now I have to replace it. Apexi no longer makes the WS for the 95-96 Maxima. The difference between 95-96 and the 97-99 is the size of the O2 sensor. I am just giving you a heads up with that problem. I ordered a GREDDY (fully stainless steel) and am waiting for it to arrive. I love the sound of the Apexi WS but they are discontinued.

No, its the location of the O2 sensor.
The 95-96's have it in the cat, the 97-99's have it in the B pipe.
Apexi makes the WS2 now, and the universal muffler which is probably the way to go.
I used to have the Apexi WS exhaust. The guy who had it before me had it on his 97. He had the o2 bung created in the B pipe which I plugged up and ran mine from the cat.
