I have a cali spec, and I have been getting the P0430 code on and off for a year or so.Which is of course the catalyst efficiency bank 1 i believe. The thing is, it came on again the other day , and now I also when I am driving feel a hestitation or a sputter if I am in 2nd or 3rd gear and really getting on on the gas above 3000 rpm, that almost feels like a misfire type sputter. I have heard people say that a bad o2 sensor will not effect your performance that badly so I was wondering if that means its definately a bad cat? My original feeling was that it was definately not the cat because the SES light would just come on randomly and shut off, making me think the code was electrical. Has anyone every had an o2 sessor that made your car drive like crap or had this bad front precat? I don't mind changing the precat even though its a 650 dollar part.... but the o2 sensor is 85 but if theres ANY chance its the o2 sensor then I need to do that first obviously. Any help is appreciated in advance!

 

precat on the ypipe? if thats the case..get an aftermarket one for like 200bux..i bet something is clogged up.....i have 2 cali specs max...they suck...

 

97 Maxima Hood question.

Can anyone help me where can i find the the two hydraulic bars
(which support/hold the hood) and how to fix them. The two
hydraulic bars are dead and it leeks the fluid all the time, whenever
i opened the hood.

 

Autozone, Pepboys, rockauto.com, etc.
