Question on Headers - '99 Cali-Spec

Hey everyone, I tried searching before posting but couldn't find any relevant answers to my questions, so here goes:

I have a '99 SE Cali-Spec and am wondering if I should get headers. After some initial reading I see that the gain from installing headers as opposed to just a y-pipe is only a few hp (3-5, but correct me if i'm wrong please). However, as a cali-spec with an additional pre-cat, would the gain be substantial compared to just a y-pipe? Will that one pre-cat really keep me down?

TIA for any responses,
Chris

You COULD just replace the front manifold with a fed-spec unit and then just get a regular y-pipe. You could go either way man. It's your call.

nismology is right...you could either search for just the front header on a Fed-spec or replace with the Headers.

As far as hp gains...you would probably see a small amount more, I don't think the Cali-spec precat is that much of a hinderance.
