Seriously, a burnout will accelerate wear on your tires no matter what...
Danger for Max's!
Beware!!! You will pull the rear end with you when your rear tires lock up... the car isn't that heavy in the rear to hold it down. You will get flatspots in your rear tires (speaks from experience). Also you run the danger of blowing your tranny (speaks from experience). If anything wet the two fronts and keep the back dry... if you have rear wheel drive this post was useless.

Yeah, back when I was running in my Stang, we would bring a nice bottle of generic bleach along for a night of burnouts... Also, with those cars, sometimes traction would be a problem and the bleach makes the tires sticky and gummy after they warm up a little. More smoke than you can imagine and *alot* less wear on the tires when compared to without bleach/liquids. I went to Winston Drag Finals once (3-5 second 1/4 mile cars) and they would pour bleach from a hose to get those guys to stick to the ground...
I think some small time tracks use it two when requested...

All you really have to do is find a freshly paved road and soak it in water, then burn away!!! Good thing for me my neighbor street was just paved, looks like up in smoke for me.hehe

I blew my tranny maybe one to two months ago. This was after power shifting, power braking, burnouts, donuts, reverse donuts, drifting, and just being a bastard on my car. I learned my lesson, even though the brand new "made in Japan" tranny only cost me $50 bucks (thanks for the warranty Mr. Nissan). But anyway, if you don't have warranty, dont try it. Don't do anything that would risk your tranny unless you have your automatic tranny built to sustain such abuse. Go get a Level 10 job and Don's valve body.

$50 installed brand new from Nissan (Japanese tranny under warranty)
I've tried the bleach and my burnouts are better on a dry road.
There's no point in doing a burnout (at the track) on street tires. Street tires hook up better when cold. The reason for burnouts is to heat up the slick or drag radial, which grip better when they're heated up.
Save your tire, save your drivetrain..
