I noticed spots in the driveway, and finally found what i think is the culprit.

I just popped mine to clean it out - help with starting/timing accuracy etc.

It's oil vapor seeping.

yeah i didnt see a washer or anything , the sensor was just itself like a cylindrical plug. how did you clean it? and did you clean the sensor or inside that hole. i've been having starting issues but..i mainly just want it to stop leaking for the most part.

I just wiped it down - with a soft rag and cleaned up the edges of the hole in the timing chain cover.

I'm not sure what you can do to stop it from leaking - just clean out the hole, and the part of the sensor assembly that seats on the timing chain cover - so you get a nice seal. And retighten the bolt - that will probably do it. also just clean up the stains/seepage on the chain cover so you can tell if it's still leaking.

There should be a rubber washer on it. I have mine turned in place to accomidate room for my S/C braket, and mine seems very tight and does not leak. Take it out, get the Washer out, and see if you can go find one at a local auto parts store

Yep,
Their is an o-ring in a groove around the sensor that keeps the oil from seeping out all over the place. The o-ring gets brittle and leaks. Just match up the o-ring and reinstall. I replaced mine last year I think.

Just take the old one into Napa and the salesperson will match it up. See if you can take the entire sensor in the store and explain what you need. It should be a pretty close fit around the sensor.
I think I matched mine up at home depot so it's not too hard.

Nothing else should really be leaking up that high on the cover other than maybe the Water pump cover. Thats the black plate below the crank sensor. That horn is one of two Hella's...One goes in the grille and one where he has it. I painted the front one red so it cant be seen from the front. I like the sound they make, loud but not too loud

I'm pretty sure that's where its leaking from.
Those horns are hella horns I got them from the group deal in the gd section. Cost like 60 bucks. They are better than stock, definently louder but have a sort of note, like european (they are european horns). Kind of a "toot" there are 2 horns, with 2 different tones. I'm going to try to put them together behind the grill to get the sound more "together" but right now it rattles when I honk because its touching the bumper behind the grill.
Anyway, in my opinion they are better than oem although I'd rather the tone of those big gmc suv's.

I kinda like the one being partially visible behind the grill like almost revealing that there's been things altered under the hood.

Also check to make sure your PCV valve is functioning correctly.
