Nope. There's a ski hole though in the middle of the rear bench.

Rear fold down mod, no.... but rear fold up mod, YES!

There was a write up not too long ago and the process seemed fairly easy. I guess they didn't put it in the stickies so you gotta search back for it.

This car sucks for snowboards unless you have a rack. I tried to test fit mine today and it will fit through the hole, but is just a tad to long to and must be angled or bent to fit in the trunk. I may just have to take off my binding so it will push through farther, not what I want to do.

Or get a smaller board

the fold-up mod seemed pretty good if you were desperate. it was basically free also. does it not fit through the middle pass-through?

It will fit throught the whole, and I can shove it in until the binding hits but being as though it is a 157 wide, it is to long, I must bend it and wedge the tail into the trunk which I do not like doing. Also pointless cause then my GF's has to sit in the back seat.

wonder how hard 5th gen would be to swap?! I am assuming it is not possible and if it is would be quite a task.

And I love having a Black 4gen 5spd

if you were to fold the back seat down, nobody could sit back there. even if the seat split only one would able to sit back there. if you fold the seat up, since it's one piece, nobody could sit back there.

Just a thought, but even if you get the board to fit or mod the seat, you will still be limited for additional passengers and/or another board or skiis and luggage. I love my Yakima roof rack...4 boards on top, enough room inside and luggage in the trunk. The less hassle the better. Just my $.02 though.
Good luck.

Start skiing instead Although it still sucks because you have to be careful not to let the snow drip all over your seats after.

Just go for the pinnacle of carving, alpine snowboarding.
I used to softboot snowboard until I stumbled on www.extremecarving.com and I got totally hooked alpine carving.

Extremecarving.com

Check out Extremecarving's vids too. For a more NorthAmerican hub for carving: www.bomberonline.com

Might be as interesting to you skiers as it is to fellow snowboarders. Anyway, the nice benefit is that you can fit the board no problem through the "ski pass-through".
