Mufflers *yes again*
Mufflers *yes again*
I need to find a muffler simple enough, I have listened to the clips and all on here, but I want to know what yall have, right now I have custom piping with an apexi N1 muffler (the real one) and it sounds like ***, it sputters....sooo i need a replacement what do yall recommend.
I`m gonna try the ole budget ractive muffler of some sort thursday I`ll let you all know if it is
or if I get lucky and it is
. Its gotta sound better than my broke off pipe blowing over what`s left of the oem muffler (which doesn`t sound bad below 3000 rpm lol, before it changes over to rattle rattle pop zzzz)
or if I get lucky and it is

The resonator on the stock pipe is already a big boy.

Hands down, no better setup.
Pat, get the y-pipe and you'll love the A33 muffler even more. Gives it that nice "G35" growl imo. Havent had one complaint about this setup yet, just gotta get that extra hanger welded onto the muffler.

My setup, Budget Y-pipe w/ Magnaflow Muffler #14818. Great setup. Low growl under 2700. Over 3k, sounds like stock. If you want even quieter, i would recommend Magnaflow #14829 cause the double wall design is even quieter.
Tatanko: WE HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY!!! How awesome is that? (I turned 17 too)

How about posting an under the car picture of that Custom 2.5" Bpipe (Resonated) + A33 Muffler "cat-back" setup
will pics prove? A maxima cat-back is actually pretty boring to look at. Clips > pics in the exhaust realm, but nothings greater than a dyno.
* just caught on to the "a33" muff... you mean the CHASSIS A33! rofl uh... my 2 cents... you want a smaller muffler diameter. don't get one you can fist ****, because the velocity of the air will not be as great. I'm a chef, and if this makes any sense to anyone, it's like using a pastry bag to say, decorate a cake! (u know, those roses aka rosettes). you start off with a large amt of stuff *in this case air and exhaust gasses, for exhaust*, it is put under pressure, and if it is steady and forceful enough, it will create the best result. If the air comes out too fast, in NA applications, exhaust velocity will be lost, and the vacuum will be lessened. the vacuum effect is what speeds the gasses out. this is what i understand and have experienced with exhausts.
so, a high-flow y pipe, cat, maybe a slightly smaller diameter b-pipe and medium diameter muffler should do the trick. With too small a muffler, you'll create too much backpressure, which is BAD for motors.
