Major overhauling, Tips and questions.
Im replacing my clutch, flywheel and trans.
-ACT stage 1 clutch
-Stillen Lightweight flywheel
-Brand new OEM Transmission (5-speed)
-MT-90 Synthetic trans fluid
-New Knock sensor
-New fuel filter
-New Red-top battery
----------------------------------------
Questions: With 2 experienced guys will this job get completed in 1 day?
Should i replace the pilot bearing?
Im having a small problem with the pressure plate sitting on the 3 pins stick out of the flywheel. The pressure plate doesnt slide all the way down on them, should I take a drill and tap the holes a tiny bit larger? Any other suggestions?
Last but not least what would I expect with these mods as in improved 1/4 times.
Stillen intake, ported mevi, Stage 1 clutch, Stillen flywheel, Stillen y-pipe, Cattman polyurethane engine mounts, Stillen high-flow cat, Gready SP1 exhaust, new trans, New knock sensor, mitus coil packs, idridium plugs, TS-ECU no extended rev but advance timming and map fuel. Light wieght 15 inch wheels all interior?

i pulled out the auto tranny 2 years ago...and dam that was not fun, but its pretty straight forward.. i did do a clutchjob on my boys eclipse, and that tranny was alot faster to drop since i didnt have to worry about TC bolts, or all those dam screws that held up the tranny harness on the autos...
do the tranny first and get it out of the way, then ks, fuel filter than battery, well depends on how your grounding the battery. i would get one of those hpyer grounding kits as well with the new optima..
2 guys should be easy to work on the tranny, you take apart the driversides front end, your friend takes apart the passengersides front end. tranny goes out and in..well after you have fun with the clutch lol
you should be able to do it
as for tips, remeber to label the bolts, draw diagrams or whatever.. but you should remeber what bolts go where.. remeber to put back your splashpanels on since i got too excited to drive the car after i installed the tranny, didnt put the panels back on and ended up bottoming out on my tranny pan.
when are you doing this? if its not during my finals i wouldnt mind comming down and giving you a had
BTW RENT A air COMPRESSOR! lol i had to do that crap with a p.o.s breaker bar, a compressor will make the job so much easier and faster

Most likely this coming weekend. Im waiting on a final word on my new transmission. Im waiting for the thing to at least hit the state of NJ. Bro I would appreciate it if you can come! Im having another org member come and help But thats not 100% for sure yet. Maybe this time I can actually meet you ha ha. I have air tools, and 2 compressors, one bigger than the other. It should be alright guessing only needed to zip off a few bolts, especially the flywheel and axle nuts.
