Hey, im trying to take apart the vent control valve blah blah... surprise...screws keep spinning! so my question is i know many fix this code by using a bit of wd40, so do u think it would be of any help if i just detach the hose thats on it and spray the inside with something or will it only work if i take it fully apart?? thanks

Are you talking about the part of the system near the rear tire?

If so I'm having the same problem one screw came out and the other just kept spinning. I thought I was the only one with this issue.

trust me, theres plenty more people with that problem, along with 0705...just to let u know i went out there today after no one responded and just said the hell with it and sprayed a crapload of stuff in there. i sprayed it through the hose inlet, wutever u wanna call it since my screws didnt come out either. i didnt quite spray wd40 though, i found throttle body cleaner figuring it cant hurt too much. check engine light went away, for now atleast. i drove it around a bit, turned the car on and off a few times, no cel, so we'll see if it come bak on within the next week. i'll let u know if it doesnt come on maybe u can try that.

I hate to resurrect an old thread, but I was actually using the "search" button that I am ever so grateful to use. I had this exact same problem. I had to break mine off and buy a new box. The combo only cost me $140.00..
