My understanding is that this will not work. Your only options are a remote from a 1995 to 1999 vehicle. I replaced mine with a 1997 Infiniti i30 remote, reprogrammed, works great.

key fob question

I ordered a replacement key fob (FCC ID:A269ZUA078) for my 95 maxima but the programming isn't working. My question is: are the hazard lights supposed to blink before a button is pressed on the remote during the programming? It doesn't for me. I am trying to pinpoint if the problem is in the fob or the security module.

Thanks.

Yes, they're supposed to blink twice before you press the lock button.
