quick question about spare tire in the trunk

quick question about spare tire in the trunk

What does it weigh?

holy wow ... isnt this sort of common sense? ... an oem maxima rim weighs roughly 17-21 lbs .. the tire weighs about the same as the rim give or take a few lbs ... both the spare rim and tire are significantly smaller in height and diameter ... 23-30 lbs for the spare rim and tire combo is my guess ... you may gain 1 horsepower if you take it out

You may also gain a terrible headache if you get a flat on the highway and suddenly remember that you took the spare out to gain 1 HP.

If it'so much common sense, why did you only give an estimate... and not an actual #?

No hp gain from weight reduction, but better power/weight.

I've had two punctures in the last 3 or 4 months.

Spare comes out at the track ONLY for me....

Throw it on the bathroom scale it will take like 3-4 mins.
